Mission Statement and Fine Arts Policy
To provide all children with positive relationships, access to a rigorous and relevant curriculum, and the support needed to meet this challenge. All children leaving our school will have basic literacy and problem solving skills in concert with a solid academic and artistic foundation necessary for success in future educational opportunities throughout their lives.
The Visual and Performing Arts magnet theme is central to our vision and policy: “We believe the fine arts are a universal language, and that all students benefit by developing their creativity.” Students are provided quality, sequential, standards-based instruction in Dance, Music, Theatre, and the Visual Arts to ensure this vision becomes a reality and to prepare them for successful futures enhanced with creative understanding and critical thinking.
