Some Rangeriffic News!! We're #1

US News and World Report article ranks Howard as the number 4 middle school in Orange County (out of 96 schools). When you look at the 3 schools ahead of us, 2 are enrollment-exclusive schools and the other is pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. Translation: Howard is the #1 traditional middle school in Orange County!

Further, in Florida, we are ranked 88th out of 3248 middle schools. These numbers includes charter schools and schools with restrictive enrollments. This solidifies us in the top 98 percentile.

I understand these rankings are based only on how well students did on state tests in the 2025 school year. They do not take into account all the Arts, Sports, and Culture programs we offer our students. 

We are doing all of this while we are also in the middle of a full renovation!
